Software Engineer

For the Welzheim location, we are currently looking for a Software Engineer

Your Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of embedded software for automotive control units

• Programming in C/C++ and creating tools and scripts in Python

• Design and maintenance of software architectures for embedded systems

• Implementation of functions and communication interfaces according to J1939 and ISO-CAN

• Analysis, management, and implementation of requirements within Requirements Engineering

• Ensuring software quality according to ASPICE processes

• Conducting static code analysis and creating and executing Unit Tests

• Implementation and analysis of diagnostic functions (DID/DTC)

• Collaboration with system, hardware, and test teams throughout the development process

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field

• Experience in at least one of the following areas: Automotive, Industrial, Diagnostics, or Off-Highway

• Strong knowledge in embedded software development with C/C++

• Experience in Python and working with automotive communication protocols (J1939, ISO-CAN)

• Knowledge of software architecture and model-based development processes is advantageous

• Practical experience with ASPICE or similar development standards

• Proficient in methods such as static code analysis and Unit Testing

• Understanding of diagnostic mechanisms (DIDs, DTCs)

• Structured, analytical work approach, as well as teamwork and communication skills

• Good German and English language skills
