Network Specialist / System Architect

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Network Specialist / System Architect

Your Responsibilities

Network Development & Operation:

• Design, implementation, and optimization of network architectures for complex customer-specific systems

• Definition and elaboration of the layer architecture of the TCP/IP stack

• Analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting of TCP/IP networks using common tools

• Configuration and administration of Ethernet networks including VLAN management

• Ensuring the functionality and performance of network protocols (ARP, IP, DHCP, TCP, UDP)

• Development and implementation of routing strategies

• Implementation and maintenance of DNS-based name resolutions

• Conducting network diagnostics, performance analyses, and documentation

• Consideration and application of IT security policies in network design

System Architecture & Interface Management

• Point of Contact (POC) for subsystem suppliers regarding interfaces and system architecture

• Definition, alignment, and maintenance of ICDs (Interface Control Documents)

• Reviewing customer requirements for compliance at the system architecture level

• Creation and maintenance of block diagrams of all subsystems including their interfaces

• Software and version management at the component level

• Supporting the Design Manager in first sample inspections and system tests

• Handling technical change requests and coordinating between engineering, production, procurement, suppliers, and customers

• Supporting production in commissioning subsystems

Your Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Systems Engineering, or a similar technical field

• Solid knowledge of network architectures, TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLAN, routing, and network security

• Experience in analyzing and troubleshooting IP networks and CAN is advantageous

• Knowledge of software for creating IT security concepts

• Experience in systems engineering, especially in interface and architecture coordination

• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working

• Strong communication skills in dealing with internal teams and external suppliers

• Very good German skills, English is a plus
